to make a meaningful difference
“It is not the end of the physical body that should worry us.
Rather, our concern must be to live while we’re alive – to release our inner selves from the spiritual death that comes with living behind a facade designed to conform to external definitions of who and what we are”
— Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, Swiss-American psychiatrist
In a nutshell
Advocates are key to growing end-of-life and grief literacy in our communities. Participants are trained in end-of-life knowledge and facilitation skills to lead compassionate, meaningful conversations with the community.
With ongoing mentorship, certified Advocates build confidence and empathy in guiding others through sensitive topics. They play a vital role by facilitating workshops, and community events, helping people reclaim agency, dignity, and understanding around life, and death.
